Is Autonomy Trying to Remake the World?

Autonomy is trying to remake the world in its image. As soon as it merges with something else, it is autonomy no more. It's just like it can't want to change because the change would be to lose itself. There's a great depiction of this idea in the Codex Alera series that I just finished a couple months ago.
