The Origins of Free Choice Determinism
St. Thomas Aquinas would be the biggest, you know, the most important for sure. The picture of God as the universal cause and providential governor of all of creation is certainly there. There's a kind of another tradition of interpretation of Thomas that I think highlights especially his views of divine transcendence. But it's from Thomas that I'm finding that account of divine agency does the requisite work.
