The Purpose of God's Discipline
A common theme throughout scripture is in regards to why God disciplines his children. Over and over from Genesis all the way to Revelation, we find that God's judgment and consequences lead to wisdom and protection. Our children are born with a sin nature that drives them to disobey. Just as our Heavenly Father disciplines his children because he loves them, he calls parents to discipline their children with the same motive.
