I've Got a You're Strong Guy

Father is looking for someone to set up as as god in his place. The last act of the book is about both steve and father sort of bringing carolyn back from the brink of being as bad as the people that she is just overthrown. There are a lot more than i haven't talked about but at the end of the day it's these it's these relationships between humans that makes the book feel different which makes it harder to categorize than some other like fantasy sci-fi stuff well  which i think is maybe what schwab was responding to you with.
