God's Destination Is Not Canaan

In Exodus 19 verse 4, God describes it like this. He says, you yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians and how I bore you on eagles, wings, and brought you to myself. In other words, God's destination for Israel was himself. And so when we find ourselves here and we're talking about Joseph and his bones and all this stuff, we have to remember that Joseph's coffin was a silent witness for 400 years about the promises of God. The Bible does that slow down, pay attention. It's meant to throw you and have you look a little bit more closely.
