The Impact of Domestic Politics on Korea-Japan Relations

Domestic politics constrain Korea-Japan relations for now. President Yun has to fight with the anti-Japanese politics that still continued by a group of politicians on the very, very progressive side. On the other hand, Japan also has to worry about the very conservative aspects of the people in the Japanese politics as well. Prime Minister Kishita went to South Korea in May the second time. This is part of this whole new renewal of shuttle diplomacy which stopped 12 years ago, but now it's resumed.
