Antony and the Parthian Empire, Parthians on the Rise
Antony felt that he had a job to do. His job was to make order out of the chaos on Rome's eastern border. Most of the eastern Mediterranean had only been conquered in the 60s by Pompey. I don't think any of these people thought that they were going to replace the Roman Republic and put up a new sign board saying we're now the empire, it seems extraordinary.
