The Tension Between Integrationism and Devolutionism in Northern Ireland

In the 70s and 80s, there was a debate between integrationism and devolution. Unionists rejected Paisley's call to integrate back fully into the United Kingdom. That has stayed within unionism all the way up until today. We're still in this tension over what does unionism do when Westminster Parliament tells it to do something that he doesn't want to do? Sure. It's an interesting scenario when some of my Catholic constituents in Vermont were supporting me on that issue.
