The Cost of a Great War

In 1901, Churchill had specifically warned about the cost of a vast war and how it would be different than anything we've ever seen. He might have said, as I foretold in 1901, this thing went here and we still were heedless, right? But he didn't write it that way. This is more effective,. He doesn't want people to praise him. He wants them to understand. And then that's why they end up praising him. The book was very popular, by the way, and it did a very good deal to redeem Churchill's reputation. So these events that Churchill is describing are involved in those events.
