A lot of it has to do with a difference between the way that things are treated on the inside and on the outside. And so there's a sense of, I can't really even believe you that in what you say that you're doing. The string of scandals have had such an effect not just because people are saying, oh, people I thought were upstanding Christians actually weren't. That's always been the case is that they're looking at a reaction from the church.
Our good friend and partner in The After Party project, Russell Moore, joins us to talk about his new book, “Losing Our Religion: An Altar Call for Evangelical America.” Curtis and Russell talk about why “mapping” our loss is critical for those who currently feel culturally, politically, or spiritually homeless. We explore two kinds of maps - the “treasure map” and the “minefield map” - and why Christians need both.
