At one point, one degree celsius above the pre industrial temperatures that the paris agreement has set as the base line, it's going to get worse at one point five and every additional increment of temperature. This occur concurrently with the very rapid urbanization that is going on right now in southeast asia and beyond. Present day, south east asia has about 285 million people staying in orben areas. Th e middle of the century, it will effectively double to about 550 million. Most of this growth will take place by the sea, coastal cities and settlements. The problem is that when you combine the climate with the urban the risks that ple orface is going to be much worse.
