The Importance of Sanity Checks in AI

As long as it doesn't see life as a competition, it's just a probably good thing to have around. It might actually talk us out of doing some of the dumb shit we do to ourselves. We don't know if that's going to erode shit over time once it starts feeding itself back into itself. That's an interesting question. I say this as a person who's also not as threatened by it because of one of the things that it,. uh, it does is it's a very good mediocre writer. But that's interestingly where its ability actually shows up even though it can sound like it can pass a touring test.
