The Social Status of Gentiles
In Galatians 2, Paul criticizes Peter for eating with Gentiles until people of status from Jerusalem come to Antioch. "I don't think it's really about him taking an opportunity to build up his authority," he says. The purpose of that story is not for us to take away this idea that there was one way of belief, which was according to Cephas, another way of belief in life were according to Paul.
