The dog became the only other recurring character. They lost thomas mitchel just about a month or two into the run, he got sick and found out he had cancer and was dying. And so they wrote him in, in a stephen boshko script, into this dog. I don't know that the dogs spent more time in the make up chair than he did. He was just itt combed his hair in a rita roll.
