What if People Want to Marry a Dog?
Self-identification has been one of the flash points for a lot of so-called work and these conversations about identity politics. A sentence that stood out to me in the book was, everyone has the right to call themselves whatever they want. We should honour self-definition not to humour the subject, but because it's infirmative. It's infinitely preferable to allowing anyone to be defined by others.
