Theosis and the Physical Body

In parapsychology, there's a name for that that is known as apportation. Maybe at the resurrection, when we have our new bodies and are completely perfected, will be able to use psychic functioning reliably. So from within a Christian frame of reference, yeah, we can ask about if God built these abilities into our nature, why, why did he do so? And why do they function the way they do?
