Kepler's Contribution to the Theory of Telescopes

In the seventeenth century, Kepler developed a new way of using telescopes. His telescope had a larger field of view than galileo's and was better at measuring position. He also showed us that if we were going to build a perfect telescope, we wouldn't be using lenses with spherical curvatures. It takes a little while, but astronomers realize it doesn't really matter, as far as they're concerned.
