Only humans produce emotional tears. They are most commonly found when people are sobbing with sadness and when they're laughing hard. Babers surely learn to laugh contagiously because there's nothing that can make you laugh. I think quite a lot of the reason why people laugh at strangers is about trust. And as a comedian who has both died on their bum Yeah. Absolutely ripped gigs with exactly the same material. The times when you die is when the audience don't trust you for some reason. That could be something as simple as the mic cutting out during the first sentence. Or the lighting being too bright or you stumbling over a word early on. It's like, what would it be?
