There were 5,150 finished consultant episodes recorded in 2018, 2019 due to an assault by a sharp object. Now this was an increase of nearly 2% compared to 2017, 18 and 41% higher than 14,15. So back in 2011, this is 46% higher than was recorded back then and is in total the highest on record. And it's interesting when you look at that website because actually the increase in stabbing events around the country isn't universally equal. It appears worse in some areas than others. We're definitely seeing an increase in cases in Bristol from my experience. You see them far more frequently than you ever used to even within the relatively short career that I've had.
