Does Bitcoin Mining Emit More CO2 Than Twitter?

The power cost of running a data center is drastically, it's a much smaller part of the expenditure. Bitcoin mining doesn't really use globally that much power. You're not using coal for Bitcoin mining just because it's not that cheap. Most likely Bitcoin mining is done probably 60ish percent with renewable energy sources.
