Late model Amram is what the US Air Force currently relies on for air superiority requirements against China. Even something like a late model Amram might only give you effective parity in effective range with something like AA12, so R77 or AA13. And just as with all the other weapons systems that the Russians have captured, they will exploit it and update their own defensive systems.
