The Parable of the Rich Young Ruler
Many people have misread jesus discussion with the rich young ruler. The idea for many is tat jesus is high lighting the futility of seeking righteousness according to the law. But we would need to read a very great deal into the passage to see this particular connection. Rather, jesus teaches that keeping the commandments is necessary for entering into eternal life.
