Behind the Bastards

CHAPTER

Nat Warlow - A Slick Guy

In 1957, Nat Warlow managed to steal an inspector's uniform and literally walk out the front door of the jail. He was caught again in the city of Kakenata and jailed in 1975. Now Warlow offered the guard keeping him locked in at 10,000 rupees to help him escape. The guard agreed, but when he opened the bundle of cash he'd been given after letting that Warlow escape, he realized that only the bills on the outside of the packet were real and the rest were blank paper. By the early 1970s, the list of criminal cases tied to that Warlow had risen to nearly 200.
