The Third Guideline
Use numbers and to calibrate your use of numbers over time or to flag tentative beliefs as tentative. Be clear about the source of your belief and your credence in that source. There's no need to be super explicit, so it's not really deceptive or misleading. It signals to your conversational partner, I am aware that there are flaws in what I am saying. None of these things are disallowed in rational discourse.
