Boosting Performance

Carmen: I think so much of performance boils down to knowing what's going on. We want the whole app startup. It is possible to improve that startup time and to see what the Jank problems actually are in your app. If you haven't thought about it before, definitely spend a little bit of time seeing if there's any low hanging fruit for you to collect. And even if the improvements are kind of subtle, even if it's not, even if you think, ah, regular person probably won't notice these few dropped frames improvements,. Oftentimes, very oftentimes, it does end up coming through subconsciously in your users' minds.
