How to Diagnose a Headache and Headache Plus

The presentation is going to vary depending on where the clot is, just like everything in neurology. I would divide these patients into two groups, a headache and headache plus. You should keep this diagnosis on your radar if they're having lots of red flag symptoms. Ask the patient about these other features that we see that we've already discussed as red flag features. Are they having multiple progressive visits? Is this a brand new headache?
