The Cost of Plastic Bags in Singapore

Singapore is the world's second largest consumer of single-use plastic products per capita. A mandatory chart was introduced three years ago in July 2020, and it applies to all shops or retail shops. The ratio of shoppers who declined plastic bags at these stores rose to 72% from 30% before the chart was introduced.
