edge computing is a term that was overutilized and under defined much like cloud probably was early in its life. i think there's still some really interesting stuff kind of going on in the space but we learned a couple of big things from edge which are rippling out to other areas now. Being lighter weight and faster is actually virtuous wherever you do it right, fermion says. Fermion: We were talking about running k3s instead of kubernetes because we needed something that was a little smaller and could run in a more constrained footprint.
