Satellites Have Jobs to Do
Scientists say the information from the telescope could help them figure out how galaxies and planets are formed, and even how the universe came to exist. Another job satellites have is checking on the ice in our oceans. The information will help ship captains steer their vessels through the ocean and away from dangerous icebergs. Inuit people who travel across the ice will know which areas are safe and where the slushy, hazardous surfaces are.
