The Relationship Between Youth Mental Health and Gun Access

The data that we use for the study is from the adolescent brain cognitive development study. Kids who express suicidality are more likely to report easy access to a gun. And parents who have had mental health problems are more Likely to have firearms in the house than parents who don't. The results were actually more emergent when we separated the sample by whether kids lived in firearm owning households or non firearm owning households.
