The Relationship Between Hegel and Spinoza in the History of European Thought

Nietzsche sees in both of them as men at the outset of the 19th century. Says that Hegel seeks reason everywhere because to reason we can submit an acquiesce. And he sort of contrasts this with Goethe, who he says has a trusting fatalism. In his shorter summaries of what each of these sentences are like, that's where he sort of defines the 19th Century by appeal to Schopenhauer.
