Do Black Individuals Experience Salt Sensitive Blood Pressure?
There are a number of studies showing that on average black individuals may be more likely to be salt sensitive. But there isn't really a racial or ethnic difference in sodium intake, so what does seem to be a difference is potassium intake. So we have pretty good reason to believe that at least acutely some of those symptoms resolve, but there are more of those open questions about what that may mean for long-term health.
