Rousseau had no real skills compared to the painters he just didn't care and was fully convinced that he'd be an influential artist from the very moment he picked up his paintbrush. The only slightly annoying thing is sometimes he's talking about a painting that changed the course of that and you have to go look it up because it's not been a few pictures that are chosen to be in here.
