The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints' $5 Million Settlement to the SEC
The church paid a $5 million settlement to the SEC in February. It hid $32 billion of their assets in 13 shell companies over the course of about 20 years. I've been calling for church discipline against those involved because if you read the church handbook carefully, all the actions undertaken to do such a thing necessitate church discipline according to the handbook of instructions. So yeah, we'll see how that goes.
