The Problem With Illusionism

Many would refuse to even consider illusionism seriously, as a view worth arguing for. I think that illusionism is not only compatible with the data but it is simplest most natural account of the data. The hypothesis that the world was created five minutes ago on the other hand like other skeptical hypothesis is not. For instance, we can explain the present in a way that is much simpler and elegant if we suppose that the past was more or less the way we think it was. Third, some people say that illusionism denies the obvious. And that for this reason it should not be taken seriously. So one way to avoid this objection is to state that fundamental experiences maybe are not so obvious after all
