Lizzie's Voice Takes Precedence

The only thing that I really want on all my songs is that my voice takes precedent. And she sings so softly that you can get her up really close without having the usual issues that you might have with siblings. There's like a massive amount of proximity effect when I take the EQ off, but that's sort of like one of those. We're finally enough.

Looking back at their time writing and recording in a makeshift Airbnb studio, Lizzy, Philip, and Ehren dig into their enormous archive of song versions (including John Mayer versions), talking through their process of chipping away at each track and shaping the sounds to match the core expression.
