The End of the Action Versus the End of the Agent

Aquinas says it's with respect to the end. Aquinas is pretty confusing at this point, which is probably why we've been debating it for 30 years. Steve Long, who taught me moral theology, he would he would talk about the object having a material in a formal part. And so maybe it would be like, you know, why are you choosing the car? Well, I'm choosing it because I want to have the car. But then maybe the end is like, well, I want to impress the girl next door with this fancy car.
