When I was seven years old I had not read anything about classical mythology or any of those things but I still was completely saturated by western culture because that's the culture that I grew up in. People who grow up speaking eastern languages often have a significantly different way of looking at the world and the role of human beings in the world you know almost on the structural level of grammar and the way the language work. It's difficult to trace the origins of these things, so it might be something else even if you don’t know what that other thing is. You can decide that the origin is a kind of a supernatural divine thing or you can say well that that doesn't really satisfy me
