"There should be a joy in and a rush to contradictory, contrary opinions," says John Stuart mills. "You have to be sifted and sordid by doubt and by conflict your ideas", he adds. The professor's job is not just to teach economics and be done with it, but to keep the space healthy for free-flowing debate on issues that affect people personally. 'A person can't just awe, i'm just playing devil's advocate,' argues Mr Mills.
