The Story of St. Francis of Assisi
Francis was recognized as a saintly kind of figure. He felt very disturbed by this recognition of his holiness, of his sanctity,. And also, he always considered himself lesser. A strict vegetarian, didn't consider eating meat. Was in terrible pain during the later period of his life and had problems with his eyesight that, for several years, treatment were failing.
