Gavin Davis: A Career in Economics

Gavin Davis was a government advisor before becoming the international economist for Goldman Sachs. He then moved on to become chairman of the BBC and co-founded no less than four highly successful multi-billion asset managers. Gavin's one of those really thoughtful individuals who always offers a really measured opinion. I like the idea that economists come into their own when times are tough, as evidenced by half his private equity conference calls currently being a discussion of the economic picture.
