The combination of things, it looks awfully like the late 60s, early 70s to me as well. I remember there was a UK Prime Minister called Harold Wilson, who talked about the white hot heat of innovation when he was explaining why he could run huge deficits and it was going to be okay because we'd have productivity growth. And I've just seen the White House announce a whole series of bills designed to promote industrial policy. It had just gone out of fashion in the 1980s. All of this is looking, if it's not causatively inflationary, it's got all of the same hallmarks as the inflation. The Fed keeps hiking until something breaks. There's more blankets
