CHAPTER

Lord Nelson's Funeral

The great admiral would be laid to rest in the crypt of St. Paul's Cathedral, a privilege that had never before been extended to someone outside the royal family. The government spent just over 1.2 million pounds, or 1.5 million dollars, on Nelson's funeral.
