The Pandemic Impact of Cricket in Australia
There was a worrying decline in n the number of children aged 12 and above who were trying out cricket during the 20 21, 20 22 australian summer. And this as partly ecause because of the pandemic. But if we look a bit deeper, our retention rate for junior cricket was extremely strong. It's a large proportion of kids that we had attracted to the game before cowen,. they continued to engage with cricket. If you don't learn the skills before 12 years of age, you're unlikely to play at a higher level. We do not want a missing covet generation in junior and senior cricket in years to come.
