Anti nuclear antibodies, ANA, are also present in like 15 percent of people without lupus or any other autoimmune disease. So it's unsurprising that it's difficult to diagnose this incredibly frustrating if you're just living with joint pain and chronic fatigue. What do these genes do? Are they all doing the same thing or are they doing a lot of different things? Great question. In general, they're all related to our immune response.
