I don't believe in near conservatives who want simplyto return to some old values. I think that we lost so much ideologically in the last two decades. Look at european not extreme like all of palme, but regular social democracy. So and another important thing we learnt from ukin war, from the pandemic and so on is that radical changes are possible.

In his new book 'Surplus Enjoyment: A Guide for the Non-Perplexed', psychoanalyst and Marxist philosopher Slavoj Žižek argues that Western decadence has reached a point of no return. When it comes to the simultaneous crises of climate change, the pandemic and the war in Ukraine, he asserts, only a cooperative global effort will steer us away from catastrophe.
