Filmmaker Oli Lambert spent a chunk of last year meeting and filming former Ukrainian civilians who were helping their country to repel the invader. Some of the footage is really outstanding, in particular, a sequence when Oli goes on an operation to deploy new heavy mortars against a Russian position. It's a hair-raising stuff and extraordinary brave of Oli to take those kind of risks in a great cause. We urge you to see it on BBC iPlayer.
