The Stress That Is Good for Your Body

When we lift weights like RBG or go for a hike, we're generating a kind of stress in our bodies. We never evolved to turn on those repair and maintenance mechanisms as effectively without exercising because our bodies never evolved to not be physically active. So if we don't engage in physical activity, we never turn on those mechanisms, at least not enough, and so we senesce more rapidly. It's the stress that actually is good for us and because it keeps our bodies young and healthy.
