There is research showing that in the aftermath of a traumatic stress, some people actually end up better off. So it's possible, just to get back to your question, there's some benefit, actually, from having been through something terrible. I could imagine that this conversation could very easily grow into a broader discussion about should everyone on Earth have a trauma score. And you could theoretically calculate that for every incident and scenario. That would be obviously difficult and perhaps grotesque in some ways.
