In Louisiana and all over the South, Jim Crow never really left and the remnants of the Confederacy remain. So Louisiana is the second blackest state in America. We should have two majority minority districts. We only have one. And it's extremely gerrymandered. It picks up a huge chunk of black voters in order to disenfranchise us from being able to get federal representation. The same thing is happening in our state legislature.
